Assembly is quite easy. The bike was in fact “mostly assembled”. The frame fits moderate to taller rider’s best. Everything is quite smooth. The front disc brake is worth the extra few ounces if you are heavy and needed the extra stopping power. Kawasaki bike is smooth riding and packs great features. Shifting is easier than any other bike I have ridden.

The frame is excellent the bike is light (same weight as its $2k counterparts)!!! I have jumped off of 4 foot walls and park benches. I have wrecked it into concrete floors it still holds up fine. The smaller wheels make this bike smaller when folded which is handy especially for folding a putting into the car. Most people seem to like the appearance of this bike. The bike rack is sturdy and has proved quite useful caring small boxes home for the community mail boxes. The plastic fenders have worked well and do not seem to break easily. The folding is accomplished easily enough but there are opportunities to pinch oneself, especially with the pedal. The bag does make it easier to handle but is not worth bothering with when putting it in the back of the SUV.

The bike runs very smoothly and I enjoy going out on it. Being a folder, you can easily store it indoors or carry it in the trunk of a car, which makes it more versatile than a full size bike. I use mine mainly for exercise.I know there is a lot of folding bike enthusiasts who look down on the “cheap folding bikes” like this one, which I bought one year ago. But my mother-in-law made a good point: when I told her there were probably better quality folders on the market if you could afford them, she said, “Sure and Cadillac’s are better quality cars than VW Bugs, but not everyone can afford them – and they both get you to the grocery store!”

So if you’re on a limited budget and just need a nice bike to ride around the neighborhood and occasionally toss in the trunk to have with you for the beach or the park, this is just fine. This is an excellent bike for $150. Worth every penny. Assembly took a one hour to tweak everything perfectly such as brakes and shifters. This is an excellent bike, rigid and beautiful, colors and combination are amazing. Everything operating perfectly such as brakes and shifters changes smooth and fast. The bike runs fast and quiet.

The bike looks very good and durable. Other than that it’s a great bike and I don’t think one could expect more for the amount of money spent. I really like riding it and the 21 gears are working just fine. Saddle has a quick release and assembling it took around 2 hours including the tuning.

Mongoose Maxim Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike has lot of features for a very low price. Shocks on the front, spring loaded isolation from real wheel, on-handlebar twist-type gear shift, 21 speeds, nicely constructed. The frame is constructed of heavy duty welded aluminum alloy, and it seems rigged enough for the casual user. I don’t plan to jump 5 feet in the air with hard landings, so the bike is tough enough for me. Great bike for the price.
